CIF Structure

The Overview of CIF

The Cities Investment Facility and its implementing partners provide advisory services and/or financial support, in SDG, technical and investability realms to prepare projects for investments, connect projects to investors, participate in financial products design and provide projects a platform to showcase their progress.

Selected projects actively participate in all three pillars of CIF, the Cities Investment Portal, Cities Investment Advisory Portal and Cities Investment Vehicles, which maintain a close relationship and function within an effective feedback loop supporting and cooperating with each other.

A platform which allows city officials to reach out to a global audience of investors, bringing together a community of stakeholders at the ideation stage. The Portal will display information about available projects, host a grant platform, and a knowledge hub.

An incubated initiative advising pre-feasibility and upstream project preparation and design, bankability, and SDG-impact.

Brokers within which diverse and blended sources of capital can be pooled to finance de-risked, bankable, and sustainable urbanization projects.
