Neelakantha Municipality has planned to Construct Bus park and Corridor Road to make city better. We need 5.33 kilometer road as corridor and 18672 square meter size bus park for managed vehicles systems and city development. We have to priority on our master plan and made details project report for this. For this we have plan to make Bus Terminal along with parking space, garage and cafeteria. We have also plan to expand 5.33 kilometer extra road networks surrounding beach of Thopl.

  • Phase 1 (Completed)

    In first phases, we will construct Buss park where the total area will be 18672 square meter. within this area there will be Main Terminal Building, Parking Area, garage, Auto parts Shop, cafeteria and refreshment center. we have designed detail project report for this.

  • Phase 2 (Completed)

    In the second phase, we will make 5.33 km road networks as corridor. it will be the beach site of our beautiful rivers named Thopal and Arun. we have also detail project report for this infrastructure.

We have initiated to allocate budget for this project since this fiscal year and we have planed to finish this project within December last of 2022.

ESG Impact

Transportation is one of the major Infrastructure of development. It has its own social impact and economic value. In core city area of Neelakantha Municipality, there is narrow road, so its urgent to make corridor for easy access and well city management. Buspark is also Most necessary here. We think, it has more impact and will support local governance.

Beneficiaries

The core City residence peoples are the major beneficiaries of this project. On the side lines about 150 thousands people of our territories will get benefit from this project. The core benefited peoples are 50,000 who are in the core city area of Neelakantha municipality.

Rationale

Our municipality is newly established local government. we are making more infrastructure related to city development. Bus park is one of the major indicator of well managed city. it will create new innovation to city. when we make well infrastructure, suddenly it will fulfill the SDG’s theme 9: industry, innovation and infrastructure. When we make phase to project of making corridor among the city. The city road will extend, mobility will be managed and our urban community will get well facility from this eco-friendly structure.

What are the key risks, constraints and dependencies related to the project?

  1. Site clearance for corridor.
  2. Coordination to the stakeholders.
  3. Enough resource availability.

Risk mitigation and continuity

There is no risk on this project. The project has started with among multi stakeholders agreement. All national parties leader represent municipal council and this project had passed through Municipal assembly. So its safe and out of risk and will not any effect change in government.

The municipality has started to allocated budget for this project. we are in seek of partner and till the date Town Development Fund (TDF) Nepal has support for making detail project report. TDF promised for supporting about 1000000 USD as grant. Neelakantha Municipality has allocated $ 174581 to this fiscal year to forward this project.
